Killed or be killed (or in this case eaten)

The Last of Us is an action-adventure survival horror video game developed by Naughty Dog and published by Sony Computer Entertainment. It was released on June 14, 2013, for the PlayStation 3. The player controls Joel (voiced and motion-captured by Troy Baker) escorting the young Ellie (Ashley Johnson) across a post-apocalyptic United States. The player uses firearms, improvised weapons and stealth to defend against hostile humans and zombie-like creatures infected by a mutated strain of the Cordyceps fungus.

Thoughts and Review:

The Last of Us could be the most intense and well written game I have ever played. Yes, the game has it's faults but the goods greatly out way the bad. Some people have said its the citizen Kane of gaming and I can seriously say that the writing makes you feel the characters pain.

The game includes a mulitplayer option, it is very team based. You need your team to stay alive. While it is fun the community is seems toxic and off putting.

Verdict: BUY

Diablo III is an action role-playing video game developed and published by Blizzard Entertainment. It is the third installment in the Diablo franchise and was released in the Americas, Europe, South Korea, and Taiwan on May 15, 2012, and Russia on June 7, 2012, for Microsoft Windows and OS X. A console version was released for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 on September 3, 2013. Versions for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One were released on August 19, 2014.

In the game, players choose one of six character classes—Barbarian, Crusader, Demon Hunter, Monk, Witch Doctor or Wizard—and are tasked with defeating the Lord of Terror, Diablo.

Thoughts and Review:

Diablo 3 is a great game but contains major story and game play flaws. Gameplay is shallow but the game isn't about the gameplay systems, it's about the loot you receive throughout. Making your character a deathdealing bad ass. Sadly its the only thing you have to look forward to do because the game ends just as it really starts its about 12 hours for the first 4 chapters and 5 hours for the 5th chapter. However, you can get many more hours of enjoyment by getting a party of your friends or in my case complete strangers doing 4 player co-op.

Verdict: 

RENT: If you don't play a lot online

BUY:  If you play a ton of games online it is how you will get the most enjoyment out of this game
