Book Blitz: Excerpt & Giveaway | Tag | Shari J Ryan

Today we have a book blast for Shari Ryan’s Tag!!!
And to celebrate the sale she’s running, Shari is sharing an exclusive excerpt and a fantastic giveaway. Tag sales banner

Tag_(Final_ebook)About Tag: What if your family had a big secret . . . a life changing secret. My dad, the bigwig CIA agent, was always on the run, whether he was being chased or doing the chasing. I missed him. Then my mom passed away, and my sister was murdered. I turned my solitude to strength because the alternative was too bleak. But my luck seemed to turn: I met Tango. And while I want him more than I’ve ever wanted anything in my twenty-two years, danger lurks around every corner and I simply can’t take the chance of it finding me. But his tattoos, his smell, his darkness, and his body— that marine has taken over my every thought. But, what if he too isn’t what I think? A ticking time bomb isn’t going to leave me much time to waver. Even the bravest person can be in need of a miracle. Before she was gone, my mom warned me to know everyone and trust no one. But what was I supposed to do when I found out I am the one not to be trusted? Turns out, I was always the bait in this conspiracy. In author Shari J. Ryan’s gripping novel, TAG, the canyons hold secrets, the waterfalls provide safety, and romance has a pesky way of showing up when you are sweaty and dirty and least expect it.

Exclusive Excerpt: I've been seated among the dozens of other passengers for the past two hours, watching the gate times change a number of times before I see the plane actually arrive. Just as I'm powering my phone down, preparing to board, an awful stench burns my nose from a few inches away. A middle-aged man with greasy black hair and a thick lip-covering mustache who smells exactly like the inside of a port-a-potty has found a reason to sit directly beside me in a row of empty seats. When my eyes unfortunately meet his, he takes the opportunity to speak to me. "Heading to Boston?" he asks. I raise my eyebrows and force a tightlipped smile. I simply follow that with a nod and give him a no shit look. "I heard winter's coming early this year," he continues. "Cool," I mumble with a sigh. I pull a magazine out of my bag and open it in front of my face, hoping to block my vision of the man's blackened-stained grin. But it's only seconds before I'm taken back when his finger sweeps down the bare skin of my collarbone. "What does that mean?" he asks, pointing to my tattoo. With a smooth motion, I lay my magazine down onto my lap and place my hand over his, giving him the false notion that I'm a gentle person. I take the opportunity to offer him a slight smile before I twist his forefinger backwards as far as it will go before the expectant snap. "I'm sorry," I say sweetly. "Did I tell you it was okay to touch me?" I pull down a little harder, and he smiles in response to the pain. But as I hold my hand there, I see the smile begin to fade. "It's a free country, chicky," he sputters as his tongue knocks around between his bare gums. "Why would you think it's okay to touch me?" I ask again, keeping my voice calm, yet stern. He licks his lips and looks me up and down, responding with only a look. "Do you go around touching girls half your age because you feel it's okay?" He clears his throat and looks around to see who's watching or listening, but I don't move my eyes from his. "Why not?" he says, shrugging his bony shoulders. "Besides, you're definitely asking for it." He thinks I'm asking for it? I'm wearing a fucking scoop neck, black long sleeve shirt, jeans, and combat boots. "The only reason it's okay, is because no one has ever probably told you no. But it occurs to me that after I snap your finger off your hand, you won't be able to touch people inappropriately anymore, will you?" He hoots with laughter, dragging in attention he probably shouldn't want. "You think you could break my finger, little chicklette?" I pull his finger a little further, and his smile grows. "Ow, stop. You're hurting me," he puckers his lips and winks at me. "Oh, look, it's your right hand. You a righty?" I turn his hand over and see deep callouses bubbling on his palm. "Yes, you are. So, if I rip this thing off, you wouldn't miss it, right?" I turn his hand back over and glare into his beady eyes. He's questioning my words. He's unsure of my capabilities. And that's fine. "Sound okay to you? Or are you going to leave and stop touching people?" His smile fades and his eyes widen. I release his hand and offer him a smart-ass smile. "Oh, and the tattoo means death. It's a Maori Warrior symbol. They used to eat their enemies once they slaughtered them. Cool, huh?" I see his Adam's apple struggle to move. He lifts his bag from the ground and nearly trips over his own feet, darting away. I reopen my magazine to the page I was reading and refocus my attention on an article as I hear a soft chuckle coming from the other side of me. I turn to see who was enjoying the free entertainment and I'm faced with a man who looks to be either a wrestler or in the military--black shaven hair, stiff jaw and bulging muscles on every inch of his arms. His eyes are currently focused on a book, and I suppose he could have been laughing at that, rather than me. But as I question it, his large shamrock green eyes lift and look right at me. A slight grin tugs on the corner of his lips, and he winks so quickly I'm questioning whether it was me who might have blinked. Before I can react, he stands up and walks away. I swallow hard and refocus my attention on the magazine once more. Stupid attractive man causing a moment of feebleness. I didn't react, though. He winked at me. I think. And I didn't make a snide comment or scowl. Weakness. I let out a few short breaths, regaining my composure. He's gone. It's fine.

Blog Tour: Excerpt & Giveaway | Being A Jett Girl | Meghan Quinn

About Being A Jett Girl
How did I become a Jett Girl?
Hell if I know, one moment I’m working at the premiere spot for creepy men and sloppy drunks and the next, I’m being whisked away by a moody ex-boxer and a mysterious man in a suit that overlooks his girls from the third floor of the Lafayette Club.
It wasn’t easy but now that I’m a Jett Girl, there is only one thing on my mind and that is Jett Colby.
He has captured me, stolen my heart and entwined my soul into his at such an alarming rate that it seems almost difficult to breathe without him holding me, touching me, kissing me...
He won’t give me his heart though, he won’t let me own every last inch of him and not because he doesn’t want to, but because he doesn’t want to jeopardize my ambiguity.
Because of this, there is only one thing standing in my way when it comes to completely and utterly living my life with Jett Colby and it’s called Lot 17.

“You’re fucking mine,” I stated as I grabbed his shirt and pulled him down to my lips. His forearms landed on the floor and he encased my face with his strong hands. His thumbs ran circular motions around my cheeks as he kissed me back, with the same force that I was kissing him.
One of his hands ran down my side and connected with the opening of my slit where he guided my dress up a little farther. I waited breathlessly for his next move, for him to figure out my little surprise.
His hand kept moving forward and once it hit my hip, he pulled away from me and looked down into my eyes confused.
“Are you wearing any underpants?”
With a smirk, I shook my head no.
His jaw clenched as he studied me. I waited nervously for his reply.
“When were you going to tell me this?”
“I wasn’t,” I replied as I moved my hips into his, eliciting a groan from him.
“You’ve been very naughty, little one, keeping such a secret from me.”
“Isn’t naughty good?”
“Do you have a response for everything?”
“Almost always,” I said with a grin.
He bowed his head and shook it as he tried to regain himself.
The limo came to a stop and Jett looked up to see out the window. He got up off me and pulled me up onto the seat.
He leaned into my ear as the car door opened and he said, “Your time is up, little one. Meet me in the Bourbon Room in five minutes. Stand in the middle, next to the table, wear one of your business shirts and make sure your hair is pulled back into a ponytail. I plan on riding the fuck out of you tonight while I grip that beautiful mane of yours.” He didn’t give me a chance to reply because he was out of the door in no time.
Holy. Fucking. Hell.

Release Day Launch: Excerpt & Giveaway | Crush | JC Emery

Young love is always perfect. Until it's not.

Cheyenne Grady is a total daddy's girl to her bad-ass father, the Sergeant-at-Arms of the Forsaken Motorcycle Club. She's funny, and kind, and she just wants that deep, earth-shattering love like her dad has with her school secretary, Holly. But Cheyenne's been looking in the wrong direction, because the only good that can come from the way she looks at Jeremy Whelan is a lesson in heartbreak.

Jeremy always wanted to prospect for the Forsaken Motorcycle Club and wear the same patch as his father. When a life-long dream becomes reality, Jeremy realizes that the outlaw lifestyle is not for the faint of heart. Nor is it easy on relationships. He wants to be a good man, but temptation is everywhere.

Cheyenne is beautiful, and strong, and exactly what Jeremy could have forever. As long as he doesn't screw it up.

Love is never more powerful than the first time.

"You're throwing your future away for a boy who isn't going to give a shit in six months. You want me to stop getting in your business, then you need to start making better choices."
"You're wrong," I say through falling tears. "He loves me."
"I'll bet he thinks he does," he says. "But you're going to school. Holly has worked too hard to keep you on track for your education for you to throw it away because you want some asshole's attention. As it is, you had to get your GED because you couldn’t get your ass to class."
"It's not like that," I wail. I don't even bother to wipe the tears away. Every word he says is meaner than the last. They slam into my gut and practically pierce my heart one after the other.
He needs to stop before his words split me in two. Maybe if he knew the reason I missed so many classes he would understand. Maybe then he wouldn't look so disgusted with me. No, then I'd have to deal with the entire club's disapproval.
"I was eighteen once," he says. "It's always like that. He wanted your pussy, and now that he's got it, he's going to leave you behind. He's Forsaken now, Chey. He won't be faithful." Dad's words have fallen to a whisper. His shoulders have dropped and the intensity of the moment has passed. He just looks pained.
Good. Misery loves company.
"I'm not going to leave him no matter what you say," I mutter through a series of hiccups.
"You don't get it. It's painful thinking about going away, and I won't do it to him or to me. I love him, sometimes so much it hurts. It feels like it's crushing me from the inside out."

Death comes in Armani. Salvation comes in leather.

Principessa to the Mancuso crime family, Alexandra knows a thing or two about living outside the bounds of the law. Suffocated by the future her father has laid out for her, she makes a choice she can't take back, changing the entire trajectory of her life.

Thrust into the dark and dangerous world of the Forsaken Motorcycle Club for her own protection, Alex finds herself faced with the last thing she needs right now: the man of her dreams. He’s sex in leather, the devil incarnate, and one hell of a kisser. But he’s also off-limits. Ryan Stone can be her friend, but he’s forbidden to be her lover.

Third-generation Forsaken, Ryan knows nothing other than life on two wheels, and he wouldn’t have it any other way. He enjoys the many privileges that come with the patch, and the only laws he recognizes are the ones set-forth by his club. That is, until who he wants more than anything isn’t allowed on the back of his bike —or in his bed. Balancing his desire for her body, and need to keep her safe, Ryan tries to keep Alex at a distance. Finally having made a choice for herself, she’s done hearing the word “no” and will push boundaries even Ryan himself doesn’t dare cross.

Love is never more tempting than when it’s forbidden.

Loneliness suffocates the heart. Acceptance breaks down walls.

As a Lost Girl to the Forsaken Motorcycle Club, Nicole Whelan knows how to party. She’s not cut-out for relationships and her life is way too complicated for anything more than casual encounters. But one night when she falls into Duke’s bed at the clubhouse, he sees something in her that he can’t let go of—no matter how many times she tries to run.

Having been left to raise her teenage brother, Jeremy, she’s already got her hands full and isn’t looking for anymore complications. But Duke’s just watched his best friend fall for the only girl he couldn’t have, and then almost lose her so shortly after, shaking him to his core. Faced with his own loneliness, he’s more determined than ever to break down Nic’s walls and show her that he can be good for her; but he’s got a bad track record and she’s got a bad temper. Changing his ways isn’t easy when he’s not sure what he’s even changing for.

The violence and turmoil are at an all-time high, and Forsaken is in a vulnerable place when a twist of fate breathes new life into the club. It’s a much-needed beacon of hope for the embattled biker family, even if everyone’s not exactly on board. With Duke and Nic’s relationship already on shaky ground, and something even more important at stake, the Forsaken Motorcycle Club will fight like hell to keep their family together and whole.

Love is never more precious than when it’s new.

Thrash (Bayonet Scars)

With the looming threat from the Mancuso Crime Family, the Forsaken Motorcycle Club is preparing for a war that could destroy them. Grady, the club’s Sergeant-at-Arms, knows that love makes you weak, and he has zero interest in adding to his liabilities– especially now. He’s already got his teenage daughter who keeps him on his toes and a beef within the club that could fracture his relationship with a fellow brother for good.

For Holly Mercer, her life is finally getting on track and the last thing she wants is trouble from her hometown’s resident outlaws. Keeping her nose clean is easier said than done, when suddenly she finds herself embroiled in club business. Holly might like the idea of being with a real-life bad boy, but even being in the same room with tough-as-nails Grady flusters her.

When Holly inadvertently finds herself on Mancuso’s radar, she has two choices: trust that Grady will protect her, or continue to refuse the club’s help. Both roads are dangerous, but only one has the chance to damage her beyond repair.

Love is never more dangerous than when it can destroy you.

Grace:
A few seconds later, Noah’s phone beeped. He pulled it out of his pocket and smiled when he saw Grace’s text.

“Now you have my number. I’ll um, talk to you later then?” Grace asked as she began taking a few steps backwards.

Noah nodded his head and winked at her. “Most definitely.”

Turning around Grace and I began walking back to the houses. “Oh my gosh, Grace Johnson. Who is he and why have I never heard about this Noah?”

Grace chuckled and brushed me off with her hand. “Honestly, I never thought I would lay eyes on him again. I ran into him as I was running after Alex, he knocked me down, helped me up and we exchanged names. That was it.”

“Well he certainly remembered you.” I turned to look over my shoulder. “And he is staring at your ass as you walk away.”

Colt:
“What do you mean Colt is moving in here?” Lauren asked as everyone looked at her. The smile that spread across Colt’s face for a brief second was caught only by me. He looked back down and sent someone a text.

Alex looked at Lauren and then Colt. “Marie James told me you took her out and y’all had a great time. She seemed to be taken with you.”

“Huh, interesting,” Colt said as Lauren looked at him.

“Wait, you’re moving in here?”

Nodding his head, Colt answered Lauren without looking at her. “Yeah, Lauren I am.”

He stood and pushed the stool back. Taking in a deep breath he blew it out. “Speaking of Marie, I’ve got plans with her so I guess I’ll see y’all around.”

Colt started to head to the door when Lauren got up and turned toward him. She began to follow Colt and it appeared she wanted to say something. Finally she was going to talk to him. Lauren was about to say something when she stopped walking. Looking away from Colt, she turned and sat back down.

Stupid. So fucking’ stupid.

The Union
T.H. Hernandez
Expected publication: November 18th 2014

Synopsis:

After global warming and a second civil war devastated the former United States, two different societies rose from the ashes – the Union, a towering high-tech utopia, hugging the perimeter of the continent, and the devastated, untamed midsection known as the Ruins.

When she’s kidnapped and taken into the Ruins as a pawn in a dispute involving her boyfriend, Bryce, her ideal world is turned upside down. What she learns while in the Ruins shakes her faith in everything she’s ever known, from Bryce, to her family, and even the Union itself.

Now Evan must choose whether to stay with Cyrus, the sexy, resourceful survivor who believes she’s in the Ruins for a reason, or return to the only life she’s ever known. But when she stumbles upon a dangerous plot that threatens both worlds, her decision could tear her apart.

EXCERPT
With a deep breath, I start my assault. “Please, Mom. I need to do this.”
“You’re too young to go off by yourself.”
I stifle a groan. “I won’t be by myself. Lisa and Colin will be with me. And I’m not too young – I’ll be eighteen in four months.”
“And until then, you’re my responsibility.” Her tone isn’t unkind, but there is an air of finality to it.
The remnants of hope slip through my fingers, and I reach out to grab them. “I can’t stay here. I’m smothering. I’ve never even been out of the Eastern Province. How am I supposed to figure anything out living this stifled existence?”
She rolls her eyes. “Aren’t you being a little dramatic, Evan?”
Probably, but I’ll never admit it. “This is so unfair. You treat me like a child, like I’m going to make the same mistakes you did if you give me even an inch of freedom.”
Her eyes flash with anger, but her voice remains calm. “I’m sorry you feel that way.” She stands, smoothing the blanket. “I did the best I could.”
The rigidity of her shoulders and her flat tone tell me I’ve lost, I’ll be stuck here forever. I take one last desperate stab at claiming my future for myself, hating that she’s left me no choice but to play the wounded child card. “You owe me. I’ve spent the last five years playing catch-up on who I am, but I still need to discover so much about myself.”
She pauses at the door, her body stiffening. I don’t enjoy throwing this in her face, but it’s true. Sure, Eddie chose a budding music career over family responsibilities, but she made the twisted decision to tell me my father was dead and then lured Joe into going along with the lie. While it’s not her fault Eddie was a deadbeat dad, it is her fault she kept the truth from me for twelve years. If Eddie hadn’t had a sudden attack of guilt a few years back, I still wouldn’t have a clue.

T.H. Hernandez Bio:

When not visiting the imaginary worlds inside my head, I live in San Diego, California, with one husband, three children, two cats, and one dog. In addition to my day job as a technical writer and editor, I write young adult fiction. I love the intensity of teen emotions and the way they're still figuring out life.

When I'm not writing, you can find me with my nose in a book, hanging out with family and friends, hiking, or knitting. I'm obsessed with Facebook, young adult novels, bad lip reading videos, pumpkin spice lattes, microbrewed beers, and the San Diego Chargers.

The Grimm are coming to an end…the second to last book
He is the love of all her lives…
Grimm’s Circle, Book 8
Thomas Finn, troublemaker, gunslinger, guardian angel…loner. More than a hundred and fifty years ago, he was shot in the back then brought back to life just in time to watch a demon masquerading as his best friend kill the love of his life.
Now, as a Grimm, he satisfies his need for vengeance hunting down demons like the ones that took Rebecca from him. His mission: kill as many as he can, then, when the time comes, go down in a blaze of glory. But with each kill, he comes closer to a line no angel should cross.
Her name was Rebecca. Then it was Tilly. Then Ada. Now, Kallypso. She’s lived so many lives, she can’t even remember when or why it started. All she knows is, she’s always searching for a man with golden eyes that make her burn. And when she finds him—as she always does—she knows that spark of joy means she’s only seconds away from death…again.
This time will be no different…unless something breaks the cycle once and for all.
Warning: Contains the Groundhog Day of star-crossed lovers, a pissed-off guardian angel, a demon-hunter with an axe to grind, and the battle to end all battles. Be warned…there’s pain ahead in this book. Oh, and that HEA finally happens. For these two, anyway.
This will be the second to the last in the Grimm series…make sure you read it…want to see how it all comes down…

“She wanted you out of the picture. That town was to be her hunting ground, but you were always picking up the pieces, stopping fights…starting them.” Will paused. “You were always the hero type, Thom.”
Finn growled under his breath.
“It’s the truth and you know it. You’d rescue a cat from a tree, put yourself between a town drunk and his wife even when you were nothing but a scrawny bit of nothing.” Will paused. “I should know. I was watching you even then.”
“Too bad you didn’t show up a little sooner.” Finn’s bitterness was going to choke him. “We could have saved her, and maybe even me.”
It wasn’t his fate to be saved, though. Not if Will had been watching him.
What a bitch to know all of this.
Why had he even asked?
It tormented him. Even now. To think that maybe, just maybe, she could have been saved. That maybe he could have some time with her, a life with her.
That if evil hadn’t been lurking at the shadows of his life or maybe if he’d been more wary, from the beginning, he would have been there when that evil came to call.
And he could have had some sort of life to look back on. Instead of this…nothingness.
“Finn. Isn’t it time to let it go? You’ve come too far to lose yourself to a memory,” Will said, his words little more than a whisper on the air.
“A memory.” He turned away from Will.
That was what Will didn’t understand.
She was more than a memory to him, and always had been.
